Blessing Bags Brigade of Michigan is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing hygiene poverty by providing individuals in need with essential hygiene products—items often overlooked by food assistance programs. Poor hygiene can lead to serious health risks, lower self-esteem, and barriers to education, employment, and social opportunities. By distributing these products and encouraging self-care, we empower people in our community to maintain dignity, improve their well-being, and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

In partnership with multiple Distributing Organizations, we serve as a vital resource for individuals facing homelessness, economic hardship, and challenging life circumstances. To date, we have distributed over 70,000 hygiene bags, helping thousands of individuals maintain their health and dignity.

In collaboration with Wave Project and Brilliant Detroit, we have planted and stocked 15 Pantries throughout Wayne and Macomb Counties. These pantries provide free, 24/7 access to hygiene products for local communities, ensuring that individuals and families can always obtain the items they need.

Through our partnership with 6 Libraries throughout Macomb County, we’ve planted totes filled with hygiene bags. Public libraries provide those in need with warmth, rest, and access to essential resources—making them an ideal setting to expand our impact and help community members maintain their health and dignity.

Thanks to our collaboration with Bombas, we’ve provided over 45,000 pairs of socks alongside our hygiene bags, giving individuals essential comfort and support.
